Three Coating Robots Assist in Insulation Reconstruction of Hubei 10kV Overhead Transmission Wires

At present, there are two main methods for safety insulation transformation of existing bare overhead conductors: overhead to buried and overhead insulation. The underground burial transformation of lines not only has a high cost for the underground buried lines, but also requires excavation of ground trenches. The construction is difficult, the transformation cost is high, power outage is required for construction, and the safety risk is large.

This time, Ronghui Diantong Technology used three coating robots to carry out live working simultaneously to assist in the insulation transformation of 10kV overhead lines of a power supply bureau in Hubei Province. The coating robots can get on and off the line independently without the need for personnel to climb up. Personnel only need to conduct ground remote control operations through the real-time video feedback from the robot cameras. The 24-hour self-curing insulation material coating treatment was carried out efficiently on the overhead bare conductor lines, putting on a "protective suit" for the lines.
